At Towards Belonging Ltd, we aim to be a bridge between the Engineering industry and the disabled community. We partner with Engineering businesses, research organisations and universities to both assist with knowledge generation and improve engineers understanding of the needs of disabled people. We do this through 

• utilising our wide network across the disabled community, 
• understanding the needs and frustrations within the disabled community, 
• so we help engineers understand why and how their designs can be fully accessible and inclusive. 

It is often the case that engineers do not understand why inclusive engineering design should be a priority. Inclusive and accessible measures are often seen as secondary to a design. However, if accessible features are included within the design at the very start the result is inclusive and much more cost-effective than having to make adjustments after project completion.

Towards Belonging Ltd, through our partnership working, can assist engineers to identify and design the most appropriate accessible features within their design. We also work with research and engineering organisations to help them identify best practice, develop inclusive cultures and improve their understanding of visible and invisible disabilities.
