This inclusive Engineering framework wheel was created by Towards Vision Inclusive Engineering (inceng.org) . It is a wonderful tool to aid engineers in designing the most ethical, sustainable, responsible and secure Solutions. All eight elements are important, but the main focus for Towards Belonging Ltd is the people centred inclusive Engineering design element. Having heard many engineers say they do not speak to Disabled people, so they see no need to design for them, we feel it is important that we help the engineers understand how relevant the needs of disabled people are to Engineering designs.

Inclusive engineering design requires the engineers, as the responsible person, to consider the requirements of all possible people using their products, service or design. The building regulations give some guidance on the expectations for accessibility into buildings and within buildings. However, user experience is not often heard from the perspective of a disabled person. At Towards Belonging Ltd, we aim to help the Engineering industry understand the main concerns and issues experienced by disabled people, through our liaison and interaction with the disabled community
