Disabled community engagement
Listening to the voices of disabled people
Disabled people do not often feel they have a voice when new buildings, facilities or websites are created.
Engineers and designers often use a baseline of building regulations, but they may not have experience of a disability and therefore do not know what a useful layout or arrangement would be.
This is now an opportunity for disabled people to get involved.
For disabled individuals who want to put forward their concerns, frustrations and ideas for improvement, we have an outreach page which will allow you to do just that.
We welcome your input, and we will use it to improve the understanding of Engineers, ensuring their designs are accessible and inclusive.
